This newly created role offers you a fantastic chance to fully utilise your commercial, analytical and technical accounting skills in a £40 million turnover leisure based environment.

With exciting expansion plans ahead, this is a pivotal role within the business requiring proven commercial/financial experience in a fast paced, successful multi site service sector business. Hotel and leisure sector experience is ideal, but not essential.

Working closely with divisional Directors, GMs, FCs and the central finance team your key responsibilities will be as follows:

1.Be the finance specialist of the Brand Support Team in delivering Brand strategic objectives and financial targets;
2.Proactively participate in the Business Review process through the provision of management information and highlighting performance areas of concern;
3.Support the financial planning and reporting process by challenging business plan and budget submissions ;
4.Coach and develop the financial skills of hotel General Managers and Financial Controllers;
5.Utilise benchmarking to challenge hotel cost processes and co-ordinate initiatives for improving performance and cost bases;
6.Monitor and review hotel capex projects to ensure Group financial hurdles are met for all relevant projects;
7.Act as a ‘bridge’ between the central and hotel financial functions – split time between both as required.

You will need to be located within easy reach of the North West as there will be a 50/50 split between central office and field based operations.

- Assists FC to identify training needs and to develop and execute training plans for accounting and operational staff

- Fluency in both English and Italian

- Ability to work independently, thrive under pressure and/or challenging circumstances and come up with proactive, rational solutions

- Able to replace the FC during their absence, as well as any position in accounting if required
