Description
We are representing a key financial services client who are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial / Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified professional looking to build on their experience and take the next step in a fast-paced, forward-thinking business. You will play a key role in preparing accurate and insightful financial information, supporting system implementation, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and manage external audit processes.
  • Support the completion and submission of VAT returns, Corporation Tax filings, and P11Ds.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and board reports.
  • Maintain robust financial records and ensure all reporting deadlines are consistently met.
  • Play a key role in the implementation and optimisation of Sage Intacct.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and liaise with external stakeholders, including funders.


Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems, especially Sage.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and FRS 102 reporting standards.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexible and eager to contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Ideally Part-Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, AAT, or similar)
  • Experience Required ideally: 2–3 years in finance, preferably within financial services or a dynamic SME environment.
