- Kerry Robert Associates are recruiting for a Financial Controller for a well known 5 star hotel located in central London. This position requires a strong individual, who comes from a 4 or 5 star hotel background and is extremely commercial. Having a self-accounting background is also important.
Reporting to the Group Finance Director and working closely with the GM and executive Management team, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, financial reporting and forecasting, compliance, and providing financial insights to support the company’s financial objectives.Requirements
Key responsibilities:- Oversee all aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.)
- Develops and implements internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
- Prepare Monthly financial statements including Balance sheet and cash flow and full analysis.
- Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
- Prepare budgets and monthly forecasts
- Participate in preparation for the annual audit to UK Accounting standards.
- Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
- Review operational costs with HOD and executive team in line with Budget and Business trends
Skills needed:- Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel is essential
- Highly organized, multitasking individual with a positive hands-on attitude and a team player
- Manage and motive a team of 3 to 4 and to develop and enhance their skills.
- Ability to manage varying needs and prioritising to ensure the best business results
- Excellent communication skills are essential as is the observance of discretion at all times due to the high sensitivity of the information handled
- Effective written communication skills including the ability to prepare excel reports and proposals
