Description
Kerry Robert Associates is on the lookout for a hard working and experienced Sous Chef to join a beautiful hotel located in one of the most vibrant cities in Cameroon (Africa).

Working alongside the Head Chef, you will oversee a team of 20 kitchen staff, creating delicious French inspired dishes focused on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and exceptional quality.


Requirements


As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for:

  • Mise en place, preparation, cooking, plating and checking the quality of dishes, including their selection and verification before they are sent to the dining room.
  • Assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team and working environment effectively, with special attention to profitability.
  • Ensuring optimal management of the hotel's food production services.
  • Procurement and production (quantity, quality and cost), presentation, and distribution of products until they are served.


The ideal candidate must have:

  • Stable experience as Sous Chef in a luxury hotel / have worked with a reputable hotel group
  • Previous background in French/European cuisine (essential)
  • Knowledge of African ingredients/spices (desirable)
  • French and English languages proficiency
