delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing hospitality group to appoint
a Director of Finance for a modern Central London hotel.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious senior finance leader looking to play a strategic role within a high-performing business that is investing heavily in growth, technology, and operational excellence.
Reporting into the General Manager and working closely with the wider leadership team, the successful candidate will lead the hotel's finance function and manage a small, fully self-accounting finance team. The role combines strategic business partnering with hands-on financial leadership and offers genuine scope to shape the finance agenda as the group continues its exciting expansion journey.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management while providing commercial insight and strategic support to drive business performance.
Key areas of responsibility will include:- Leading the finance function and developing a
high-performing finance team
- Driving budgeting, forecasting, financial
planning processes and month-end closure
- Delivering accurate and timely financial
reporting and analysis
- Managing cash flow, controls, compliance and
audit requirements
- Partnering with operational leaders to improve
profitability and performance
- Identifying opportunities to enhance
efficiency through systems, technology and improved processes
- Supporting business growth through robust
financial strategy and commercial decision-making
- Building strong relationships with key
stakeholders across the organisation
Requirements
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys operating as a true business partner.
You will bring:- Proven senior finance leadership experience
within the hotel/hospitality sector (essential requirement)
- Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA (highly desirable)
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to
influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels
- Experience managing and developing finance
teams
- Key experience in forecasting, budgeting, financial control and month end closure
- A proactive approach to driving financial
performance and operational improvement
- Confidence presenting financial information to
senior leadership teams
- An interest in embracing technology and new
ways of working to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Advanced experience of Excel and highly proficient in hospitality finance systems
- A desire to contribute beyond finance and play
an active role in the wider success of the business
