- Kerry Robert Associates are delighted to be partnering with a luxury hotel to recruit an experienced Hotel Finance Accountant, based in Central London.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong hotel finance professional to join a dynamic and fast-paced operation. Working as part of an established finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, supporting month-end processes, maintaining complex balance sheet accounts, and contributing to the overall financial performance of the business.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing detailed balance sheet reconciliations, monitoring and reconciling multiple inter-company accounts, reviewing operational and financial ledgers against the general ledger, preparing accruals, prepayments and journal entries, supporting month-end close activities, maintaining fixed asset records and capital expenditure tracking, investigating and resolving outstanding balance sheet items, monitoring suspense accounts, analysing financial variances, supporting budgetary controls, and assisting with both internal and external audit requirements. You will also work closely with operational departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance across the business.Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' finance experience within a hotel environment
- Previous experience within Cost Control, Income Audit, or Financial Accounting roles would be highly advantageous
- Strong experience managing balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting
- Previous exposure to complex balance sheet accounts and high-volume transactions
- Experience dealing directly with external auditors
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A highly organised and detail-focused approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across departments
