Description
Kerry Robert Associates are delighted to be partnering with a luxury hotel to recruit an experienced Hotel Finance Accountant, based in Central London.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong hotel finance professional to join a dynamic and fast-paced operation. Working as part of an established finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, supporting month-end processes, maintaining complex balance sheet accounts, and contributing to the overall financial performance of the business.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing:
  • Detailed balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monitoring and reconciling multiple inter-company accounts
  • Reviewing operational and financial ledgers against the general ledger
  • Preparing accruals, prepayments and journal entries, supporting month-end close activities
  • Maintaining fixed asset records and capital expenditure tracking
  • Investigating and resolving outstanding balance sheet items
  • Monitoring suspense accounts
  • Analysing financial variances
  • Supporting budgetary controls
  • Assisting with cost-control
  • Assisting with both internal and external audit requirements
You will also work closely with operational departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance across the full self-accounting finance function.


Requirements


  • A minimum of 3 years' finance experience within a self-accounting hotel environment.
  • Previous experience within Cost Control, Income Audit, or Financial Accounting roles is essential. 
  • Strong experience managing balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting.
  • Previous exposure to complex balance sheet accounts and high-volume transactions.
  • Experience dealing directly with external auditors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A highly organised and detail-focused approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across departments.
  • Experience of using systems such as: Micros, Opera & Oracle is highly desirable.
